Elementary Science Olympiad (ESO), or Division A, introduces students in grades K-6 to STEM through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. While there are no state or national-level Division A tournaments as of 2026, the program provides curriculum and resources for competitive tournaments (grades 4-6) and non-competitive "Fun Days/Nights" for all K-6 grades, implemented at the local level by schools and organizations. Schools interested in participating in the 2026-2027 school year would typically contact their state Science Olympiad chapter or the national organization for materials to set up local events.

A school or organization must purchase an Elementary Science Olympiad Manual to organize events.
