Invention Convention Worldwide, an initiative of The Henry Ford, is a K-12 invention education program that develops problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and creativity skills. While the 2026 RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals event (June 3-5, 2026) has concluded, students can participate in local and state-level competitions during the 2026-2027 school year to qualify for future national events. Registration for these local and state competitions typically opens in late summer or early fall of 2026. The program encourages students to identify real-world problems and invent solutions, documented through a logbook. K-5 students would begin their invention journey at their school or regional level.

How to enroll

Students develop an original invention and document their process. Entry requirements vary by local/state program.
