About
BEAM Gateway, offered by Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM), provides comprehensive support for 8th-grade students, focusing on deep enrichment courses and preparing them for high school admissions. This program is part of BEAM's new vision, rolling out in Fall 2026, offering academic courses like "Foundations of Mathematics" and a "Programming course." It is specifically designed to support students from lower-income families who may not otherwise have access to STEM enrichment opportunities, with a majority being first-generation college-bound students. The application window typically runs from January to March each year. To enroll, families fill out an application, and students take an Admissions Challenge; financial verification documents are also required. The program is completely free, covering all activities, field trips, transportation, and weekday meals (all meals for Summer Away students). BEAM programs take place in New York City and Los Angeles.
