The Hardest Math Problem Student Contest challenges students in grades 6-8 (with 5th graders also eligible) to solve multi-step, grade-appropriate math problems with real-world scenarios. The contest is national and conducted online. It is free to enter, and prizes include a laptop and $3000 toward a 529 college savings plan for winners. An adult coach (parent or teacher) must register on behalf of the students.
