The MATHCOUNTS Competition Series, organized by the MATHCOUNTS Foundation, aims to promote enthusiasm for and achievement in math among middle school students. The series involves several rounds: School, Chapter, State, and National Competitions. Students in grades 6-8 are eligible to participate. Registration for the 2025-2026 academic year is currently open, with an Early Bird Registration Deadline of November 5, 2025 ($40 per student for schools) and a Regular Registration Deadline of December 15, 2025 ($45 per student for schools, $70 for Non-School Competitors). After December 15, 2025, registration costs increase. Chapter Competitions will be hosted from February 1-28, 2026, followed by State Competitions from March 1-31, 2026. The 2026 RTX MATHCOUNTS National Competition is scheduled for May 10-11, 2026, in Orlando, FL. Schools register teams through a coach, and a School Competition Kit is provided. Non-school competitors can also register.
