FIRST LEGO League Challenge, part of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), introduces STEM to children through hands-on robotics challenges using LEGO Education technology. The program engages students in grades 4-8, with the 2026-2027 season, "BIOGLOW™," having opened registration on May 19, 2026. The registration deadline for Challenge Teams is October 31, 2026. The global challenge will be released on August 4, 2026, with events taking place from November 2026 to April 2027. Teams build, program, and test robots. Team registration includes an official team number and the ability to purchase the Challenge Set (approx. $105), with a season registration fee of $150 for the Explore edition. Event participation fees are separate and vary by region. This is a national program with regional events across the U.S.
