Organized by the Rice Center for STEM Engagement (R-STEM), STEAMotion is a dynamic one-week summer academy designed to ignite young minds and bodies. The program is for students in grades K-8 (including K-5 for the 2025-2026 school year) and offers a blend of engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities both in the classroom and outdoors. Participants explore physics, mathematics, computer science, and engineering through hands-on projects, fostering teamwork and critical thinking. Examples of 2026 dates include Week 1: June 22-25 and Week 2: July 6-9. The program takes place at Rice University in Houston, TX, and in partnership with various districts and schools. The registration fee is $449 per week.
